Royal Fur Mobile Grooming Policy
Our pricing model is based on a grooming schedule of 1 to 4 weeks. If your next appointment exceeds 8 weeks, an additional fee may be required, which could affect the package price you select.
Appointment Times:
At Royal Fur Mobile Grooming, we can't provide an exact arrival time. Instead, we give you a one-hour window, so you can expect our groomer to show up sometime within that hour. We never rush grooming appointments to make an exact arrival time, as each pet requires individual attention and care. Additionally, we account for unforeseen events such as traffic accidents, road construction, and inclement weather. If we anticipate being more than 15 minutes early or late, we'll give you a call to keep you informed.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment will incur a $50 cancellation fee.
Cancellations made 24 hours or less prior to the scheduled appointment will be charged the full cost of grooming.
At Royal Fur Mobile Grooming, we believe in providing reliable services to our clients. However, unforeseen circumstances such as equipment failure, illness, or inclement weather may occasionally lead to a canceled appointment. We assure you that we will do our very best to notify you in advance and make arrangements to reschedule your appointment at your convenience.
Convenient "Key on File" Service:
Royal Fur Mobile Grooming provides a "key on file" service to its clients. Customers can provide us with a key to keep on file, a garage code, or some other form of access to the home. Please ensure that your pet is either crated or left in an easily accessible area, such as a laundry room or bathroom. While providing grooming services for your pet, Royal Fur Mobile Grooming will not be held responsible for any damages or theft to the client's home or property.
Appointment No-Show:
Please be advised that if our groomer arrives during the scheduled window and no one is present without prior access arrangements, the client will be charged the FULL AMOUNT of the scheduled service.
Fleas and Clean-Up:
To ensure a clean environment, please inform us if your pet has fleas or ticks. In the event of an infestation, we charge a $40/pet fee for flea baths and cleaning.
Dog Dematting: When and Why It's Necessary
Dematting a dog's hair can be a stressful and uncomfortable experience for them. It's typically only performed when matting is minimal. If a dog is severely matted, a shave down may be recommended instead, pending the owner's approval.
Matted Dog:
As a pet owner, it is your responsibility to keep your pet's coat maintained between grooming and bathing appointments. In the event that your pet is matted and requires shaving or de-matting, Royal Fur Mobile Grooming cannot be held liable for any resulting cuts, razor burn, raw or irritated skin, or other issues arising directly from matted hair. Any veterinary bills incurred as a consequence will be the responsibility of the owner, as agreed upon by signing this document. Please note that matting may result in an additional fee, which will be determined by the groomer. If, for any reason, we are unable to complete the grooming session, the full cost of services will still be due.
Senior or Special Need:
At Royal Fur Mobile Grooming, we take the safety and comfort of your furry loved ones very seriously. To ensure their well-being, please inform us of any pre-existing health concerns at the time of booking. Although we are committed to providing the best possible care, we cannot be held responsible for any medical issues that may occur during grooming due to your pet's age or specific needs. In the event that grooming cannot be completed, the full cost of services is still required. Please note that our services are available for pets up to 12 years of age for new clients.
Sedated Pet:
Please note that we may work with partially sedated dogs depending on the medication given. To ensure the safety and health of your furry friend, please specify which sedative is used when making your booking request. We do not administer any medication, as this is the responsibility of the pet parent. It's essential to understand that we are not liable for any medical complications that may arise due to sedation grooming.
Pet illness:
If your furry friend is showing any signs of a communicable illness, such as coughing, diarrhea, or fever, we kindly ask that you reschedule their grooming appointment and seek veterinary care. In the event that our team identifies any of these symptoms upon arrival, we will have to cancel the appointment and charge the full service fee.
Behavioral Issues:
We at Royal Fur Mobile Grooming have the safety and well-being of your pets in mind. To ensure their comfort and health, we reserve the right to decline service if we believe that your pet would be better served in a veterinary setting. In the event that we choose to groom animals with behavioral issues, charges will be assessed based on their temperament. Our grooming process is designed to make your pet as relaxed as possible, and we only resort to restraint or muzzles when absolutely necessary. We do not groom dogs that have a history of biting, and if your pet exhibits aggressive behavior during the grooming process, we will have to discontinue the service.
Owners in mobile unit:
For safety and compliance reasons, our insurance policy prohibits pet owners from entering the mobile unit during grooming sessions. If you need to speak to the groomer, please send a text message and we will gladly assist you.
Pet Grooming Agreement for Media Release:
Please be advised that any photos or videos taken of your pet prior to, during, or after the grooming process may be used on social media or any other platforms we see fit to promote our business. By signing this agreement, you grant Royal Fur Mobile Grooming permission to use your pet's name and picture for advertising, promotional, social media, or portfolio purposes. You also release Royal Fur Mobile Grooming from any liability.
Vaccination and Veterinary Information:
At Royal Fur Mobile Grooming, we prioritize your pet's safety. To confirm that your furry friend is in good health, we kindly request proof of rabies vaccination and current veterinarian information.
Payment of Services:
Currently, we accept cash and credit cards as forms of payment.
